Project CLAW:

Conceptual Learning Approach to Waves

Developers

Dr. John Cerne, Associate Professor

at UB. Studies novel materials ranging

magnetic semiconductors to high

temperature superconductors using

infrared polarization-sensitive

magneto-optical techniques. His experiences

teaching about waves in introductory courses

and explaining polarization sensitive

optical measurements have strongly

motivated his work on CLAW.

Frank Nappo, Physics Teacher at

Lockport High School. Teaches

Regents, College Physics and

University Physics to advanced

students. Has developed techniques

using Adobe Flash to simulate a

wide range of physics concepts.

Is the developer of "Fizzixs Flixs"

Physics simulations.
